Charles I (1635-1649), Shilling, Aberystwyth mint, large crowned bust left with square laced collar, plume before and small mark of value behind, no inner circle, rev. oval garnished shield, plume above, inner circle, mm. book, 5.84g, (N.2329, S.2882). Exquisite cabinet tone, full and round, good very fine and better.

Halfcrown, 1642, Shrewsbury mint, Shrewsbury horseman left, groundline below, no plume in field, rev. declaration in two lines, three plumes above, date below, mm. plume on obv. only, 13.92g, (N.2378, Bull.588/7, Morr.F-7, Brooker.826, S.2934). Very rare. Good clear details on a relatively round coin, very fine .

Threepence, 1644, Oxford mint, narrow crowned Rawlins bust left, R below, mark of value behind, rev. declaration in three lines, three lis above, date below, 1.27g, (N.2471, S.2994). Attempted piercing at 9 o'clock on inner circle, otherwise nicely toned and very fine or better.

Halfcrown, 1644, Bristol mint, King on horseback left, small plume behind, Br monogram below, rev. declaration in two lines, three Bristol plumes above, date and Br monogram below, mm. pellet, 15.04g, (N.2492, S.3010, Not listed in Brooker). Attractive old cabinet tone, good very fine.

Crown, Truro mint, King on horseback left, sash flies out in two ends, rev. oval garnished shield, mm. rose, 24.08g, (N.2533, S.3045). Weakly struck at 11 o'clock, good fine.

Halfcrown, Worcester mint, King on horseback left, no ground line, rev. crowned square topped shield, mm. helmet, 12.91g, (N.2591, S.3101). Slightly short of flan, otherwise good fine to nearly very fine and very rare.

Shilling, 1645, Civil War Issues, siege of Royalist Newark, arched shaped crown between CR, XII below, rev. OBS NEWARKE 1645, 6.03g, (N.2639, S.3142). Partial striking softness on RK of NEWARKE, deeply toned on a large flan, pleasingly very fine, scarce.

Maundy set, undated, laureate and draped bust left, rev. crowned mark of value, (ESC.590, S.3391). Good fine to very fine.

Crown, 1687, second laureate and draped bust left, rev. crowned cruciform shields, angles plain, six strings to harp, edge TERTIO (ESC.78, S.3407). Practically extremely fine with original brilliance.

Sixpence, 1687 over 6 , laureate and draped bust left, rev. early crowned cruciform shields, angles plain, five strings to harp, (Bull.776, ESC.1526A, S.3412). The overdate exceedingly clear, usual adjustment to French shield, good very fine.

Maundy set, 1688, laureate head left, rev. crowned mark of value, (ESC.783, S.3418). Metal flaw to fourpence, otherwise fine to nearly very fine.

Guinea, 1692, conjoined busts right, rev. crowned shield, crown dividing date, (S.3426). The rarest date of the six years of mintage of this type. About very fine and rare.

Farthing, 1694, conjoined busts right, rev. Britannia seated, (Peck 616, S.3453). Good portraits, some porosity typical of the issue, good very fine.

Crown, 1700, third laureate and draped bust right, rev. crowned cruciform shields, third harp, edge DVODECIMO, (ESC.1010, S.3474). About extremely fine.

Halfcrown, 1698, first laureate and draped bust right, rev. crowned modified large cruciform shields, angles plain, edge DECIMO, (ESC.1034, S.3494). Toned, good very fine or better.

Sixpences (2), 1696, first laureate and draped bust right, rev. crowned cruciform shields, large crowns, early harp, (ESC. 1202, Bull.1533, S.3520); 169?, third laureate and draped bust right, rev. crowned cruciform shields, large crowns, later harp, (S.3538). The first good fine, the second with second part of date unreadable due to weight adjustment marks, otherwise good very fine with underlying mint brilliance.

Sixpence, 1697, first laureate and draped bust right, rev. crowned cruciform shields, small crowns, six strings in harp, not struck en medaille, (ESC.1552/3, Bull.1219/20, S.3531). Attractive iridescent tone especially to the reverse, about extremely fine.

Maundy set, 1713, 3 over 0 on twopence and penny, draped bust left, rev. crowned mark of value, (ESC.1479, S.3599). Very fine to about extremely fine.

Crown, 1708, post-Union, second draped bust left, rev. crowned cruciform shields, angles plain, edge SEPTIMO, (ESC.1346 [105], S.3601). Centre's weakly struck, nearly extremely fine .

Halfcrown, 1707, post-Union, draped bust left, rev. crowned cruciform shields, angles plain, edge SEPTIMO, (ESC.1366, S.3604). Beautifully toned with flashes of original brilliance in recesses, practically extremely fine.
