Penny, short cross type, Winchester, moneyer Leodmaer, diademed bust left holding sceptre, +CNVT RECX, rev. short voided cross, +LEODMÆR ON PIN, both obverse and reverse are struck over another coin, the undertype unclear, 1.14g, (N.790, S.1159). Toned about extremely fine and very rare .

Penny, short cross type, Oxford, moneyer Aegelric, diademed bust left holding sceptre, +CNVT RECX, rev. short voided cross, +ÆGEL.RIC ON OCXE, 1.14g, (N.790, S.1159). A couple of peck marks on obv., extremely fine.

Penny, jewel cross type, Stamford, moneyer Godric, diademed bust left, +HAROLD REX, rev. jewel cross, +GODRIC ON STANF:, unusual bust style only represented by one other specimen in the EMC, 1.08g, (N.802, S.1163). Tiny edge crack near C of GODRIC not affecting coin, nearly extremely fine.

Penny, fleur-de-lis type, Colchester, moneyer Godric, diademed bust left holding sceptre, +HAR:OLD RE:, rev. long voided cross, fleur-de-lis between two pellets in each angle, +GORIC: ON CONC, very rare, 0.99g, (N.803, S.1165). Deep rich tone, small hairline crack and stable, otherwise very fine.

Early uninscribed, Gold stater, Westerham South, wreath, cloak and crescents, rev. disjointed horse left, stick legs and many pellets above, 6.27g, (S.21, ABC.482, VA.202-01). Very fine obverse slightly better.

Gold stater, Belgae chute type, wreath, cloak and crescents, rev. disjointed horse left, crab below, many pellets above, 6.02g, (S.22, ABC.746, VA.2105). Slighty off centre and a small edge chip on one side, otherwise good very fine.

Early uninscribed, Gold stater, Selsey Uniface, plain, rev. triple tailed horse right, wheel below, charioteer's arm above, 5.80g, (S.39, ABC.488, VA.216-01). Slighty off centre, otherwise extremely fine.

Potin unit, class 1 type, Rounded Bull, outline head left, rev. outline bull mostly of curved lines right, 1.57g, (S.63, ABC.165). Nearly very fine.

Penny, PAXS type, Winchester, moneyer Siword, crowned bust facing holding sceptre, +PILLELM REX, rev. cross pattée with PAXS in angles, +SIWORD ON PINCE, 1.37g, (N848, S.1257). Evenly struck, good very fine.

Penny, PAXS type, Oxford, moneyer Swetman, crowned bust facing holding sceptre, +PILLELM REX, rev. cross pattée with PAXS in angles, +SPETMAN ON OXI, 1.34g, (N.848, S.1257). Metal flaw on obv. below face, toned very fine.

Weak in parts otherwise superb portrait, very fine

Penny, type XV, quatrefoil on cross fleury type, London, moneyer Roger, crowned bust facing, holding a sceptre, HENRICVS, rev. quatrefoil with lis at each angle over cross fleury, [….] R:ON:LV […], 1.38g, (N.871, S.1276). Struck on an irregular flan as normal, very fine.

Penny, cross moline (Watford) type, southern variant, Southampton, moneyer Sanson, crowned bust right holding sceptre, rev. voided cross moline, large pellets at ends, fleur in each angle, [+SANONI]ONAN, 1.05g, (N.905, S.1295). Irregular flan with a small fold on the outer edges of the coin, reverse off-centre, otherwise very fine.

Pennies (2), long cross, class 5, facing bust, class 5a2, London, NICOLE ON LVND, 1.43g, (N.991/2, S.1367); class 5b2, Bury St Edmunds, RANDVLF ON S'ED, 1.48g, (N.992/2, S.1368). Both bright, the first very fine the second good very fine.

Noble, Pre-treaty series Gf, king standing in ship holding sword and shield, three lions and two lis on ship rev. floriate cross in double tressure, crowned leopards at angles, annulets at corners of central panels, upper-most dividing two annulets, small E in the centre, saltire stops, mm. -/cross pattee, 7.43g, (N.1182(f), S.1490). Small scratch on obverse, otherwise good very fine.

Penny, London, heavy coinage, later facing bust with shorter neck, no star on breast, 0.98g, (N.1349, S.1720). Obverse a little weakly struck, slight crease and some surface lamination to reverse, otherwise fine or better and very rare.

Angel, Tower (London) mint, Archangel Michael slaying dragon with spear, rev. ship bearing shield and cross dividing ? and rose, mm. pierced cross, 5.07g, (N.1626, S.2091). A few scratches in waves below ship, good fine or better.

Henry VII (1485-1509), Groat, facing bust, type IVb, wide double bar crown, rev. long cross fourchée mm. greyhound's head, 3.13g, (N.1706, S.2201). Old cabinet tone, and a most attractive very fine or better.

Groat, second coinage, Laker bust D, rev. shield on long cross fourchée, mm. arrow, 2.57g, (N.1797, S.2337E). Small scrape through crown, obverse with patchy tone and some weakness, nearly very fine.

Groat, second coinage, Laker bust D, rev. shield on long cross fourchée, mm. lis, 2.71g, (N.1797, S.2337E). Sharp portrait, good very fine.

Testoon, third coinage, Tower mint, crowned facing bust (bust 1), rev. crowned Tudor rose dividing HR, mm. lis and annulet in circle both sides, very rare thus, 7.14g, (N.1841, S.2365). Minor weakness on the legend but with a good portrait, very fine.
