The Westmorland and Cumberland Yeomanry were part of the 8th Battalion Imperial Yeomanry serving in the South African War 1899-1902.
The battalion was formed in 1900, Godfrey Francis Robey was listed as a Private, he arrived in South Africa on the 5th March 1900.
