C/MX. 49885) impressed naming, mounted on original investiture pin, 1939-45 (held in original box with official letter); Star; Atlantic Star; Africa Star; Italy Star; War Medal 1939-45; Naval General Service 1915-62, 1 clasp: Minesweeping 1945-51 and Defence Medal together with additional items (see below)

Ronald Albert Fisher was awarded his C.E.R.A whilst serving on HMS Olympus. Then, C.E.R.A Ronald Albert Fisher, was awarded his D.S.M and the Investiture took place 7th November 1944 (entrance card to Buckingham Palace included within this lot). He was mentioned in the London Gazette, 8th February 1944, page 688.

He also served on HMS Frolic as an Engineer Officer from 13th December 1945 to 9th August 1946, and on HMS Polaris as an Engineer Officer from 1st June 1948 to 11th October 1948.

He was released from Naval Service 30th December 1948.

This lot also provides the following additional items;

A signed guest book from HMS Polaris. Inside the cover of the book, a label stating ‘Best Wishes from The Service League for British Ships, October 29th 1945 Toronto Canada'. On the 29th October 1945, HMS Polaris completed its contractor's trials and was commissioned for service and signed off, various visitors have left comments November 7th 1945 to October 1st 1948, an intriguing read

A personal diary of Ronald Albert Fisher in 1941, including dive dates, his postings and day of marriage (returning to service the following day)

A technical drawing pad with various diagrams of H.M.S Renown Capstan Engine, Boiler room, Hydraulic Ring Main, Main and Auxiliary steam lines and Oil Fuel System
