Harold I (1035-1040)

Penny, fleur-de-lis type, Colchester, moneyer Godric, diademed bust left holding sceptre, +HAR:OLD RE:, rev. long voided cross, fleur-de-lis between two pellets in each angle, +GORIC: ON CONC, very rare, 0.99g, (N.803, S.1165). Deep rich tone, small hairline crack and stable, otherwise very fine.
