Ryal, first coinage, 1571, crowned shield dividing crowned IR, rev. upright sword, dividing date, (S.5472). A curious piece, clearly struck with some force multiple times resulting in a thin and generously spread flan, the reverse double struck as a result, nearly very fine/good fine
